Album songs on MySpace...

The BC debut album, Holystone, is due out in the next couple of weeks...

In the meantime, for those of you interested in sampling a little of what's to come, there are two new songs on MySpace.  Newfoundland is a foot-tapping sea shanty set to new music; The Feeling Thief is...well...see for yourself!  Try them both free - here.

For those interested in the ALBUM or the launch gig in Cardiff (date in July to be confirmed), don't forget to sign up for the mailing list so that we can get word to you quickly!  We should have more specific news this week...

Cheers, BC

Getting connected...

Just a quick post to let you all know that we've expanded our social connectivity!

On the BC webpages there are now links to Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and the usual RSS feed to the blog.  As the completion date for the album gets nearer, we're keen for as many of you as possible to get connected with us so that we can put the word out quickly.  So why not have a look and "Like" us on Facebook or "Follow" us on "Twitter"?

The launch gig for the album will be advertised almost exclusvely via social networking, so if you're up for a night out in the Cardiff area very soon, let us know.

Thanks for your support!

Cheers, J & L

Final studio session...?

We spent 9 hours in the studio on Friday (3rd June) getting the last two tracks down for the album.  As always it was a mixture of frustrating delay and rapid progress - all rolled into one!

San Jose, our tribute to the Chilean miners trapped underground for 69 days, seemed to take almost as long to get done!  But the perseverance paid off in the end, we reckon.  On the other hand, My Heart Is Ashore, was done relatively quickly.  That's just the way it goes!

We've uploaded the words to both so you can get an idea of them - just look on the right of this page and click the song you want.

San Jose is a very emotional song, packed full of pathos, so the printed word doesn't get near it, really.  My Heart Is Ashore, on the other hand, is a simple love song - very sing-along-able!  Anyway, you'll be ready to sing along when the CD comes out...
